ReJAVAnate Reusable Bags Giveaway
Posted on January 19, 2009 by

We’ve talked about purchases being a way to vote for companies who have good environmental and social programs in place. Well, if you need a new reusable shopping bag, ReJAVAnate is a great company to “vote” for.
ReJAVAnate shopping bags are made from burlap coffee sacks. The bags are manufactured by workers from The Arc, providing employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. How cool is that?
Some of the bags have coffee company logos on them, but they also come plain, or can be customized with your own company logo.
ReJAVAnate has generously offered to give away a bag to one lucky reader.
To enter, sign in here with a valid e-mail address to leave a comment. Only one comment/entry per post per person will be counted.
Later in the week, I’ll be posting an interview with Douglas Farquhar, Director of Business Development for ReJAVAnate, and will give you a chance to enter again to increase your chance of winning. The giveaway will close on Sunday, January 25th, at 5PM (Eastern), and I’ll use a random number generator to determine the winner. The winner will be announced on Monday, January 26th. Comments that appear to be spam will not be counted.
Good Luck!
P.S. As a matter of housekeeping. If you recently won an Allie’s Answers giveaway and haven’t received your prize yet, don’t worry. Tomorrow is shipping day, and it will get to you shortly.

How neat. I wonder if I can get some Colombian coffee bags. I’ll definitely check them out!
The Arc is such a wonderful organization! They do such a great job of providing meaningful employment for people with developmental disabilities. What a great giveaway!
These would make great grocery sacks for my long walk home. I’ve seen laptop sleeves made out of upcycled coffee sacks, too. Love ‘em!
My old neighbor used to work for ARC. It was a wonderful experience for her and she loved the freedom it afforded her.
These bags are also killer, and I definitely need more coffee in my life (even if it’s just in the form of a logo)!
I really like that these are made of burlap – I bet they’re nice and sturdy.
si se puede!
I love your blog. Keep up the good work!
The bags look cool – I foresee this kind of neo-vintage look becoming the next big thing…
I love the idea of helping people with disabiities earn a living. And these bags really rock! Especially with coffee logos like the one in the pic above. Wish I was in Costa Rica now, lying in the sun or drinking java!
What a great idea. I love when reusable bags are made with reclaimed material.
Love this. For some reason I just had a flashback from Project Runway w/ Laura Bennett’s “Nuts Only” recycled outfit. Love this bag.

Great bags, and such a good cause. I looked at the website, but it looks like they only ship in the USA
But if you can put me in for the draw (I’m in Canada) that would be great!

Wonderful reuse of burlap used for coffee. They would be rugged and hold up for a long time.
