Hope For Women: Bracelet

Last Monday I blogged about the fabulous organization Hope For Women that helps economically disadvantaged women support themselves by handcrafting Fair Trade, eco-friendly products made by women across the world. Today is your chance to win some of their fabulous products! Hope For Women is giving away two cards from the El Salvador collection, two cards from the India collection and two Tagua bracelets!

To enter take a look at the Hope For Women products and then come back and leave a comment below telling us which one of their products is your favorite. Then visit The Greenists and Hope For Women on FaceBook and click “Like” if you aren’t a fan already! The contest runs from today through Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:59 p.m EDT. A winner will be picked by random number generator and posted on Friday November 12, 2010!

And don’t forget even if you don’t win Hope For Women has some really great, unique gifts that you could give for the upcoming holiday season. Good luck!

Tip of the Day

If It Doesn’t Smell, Don’t Wash It

According to Real Simple, if every American made an effort to launder less — cutting out just one load of laundry a week per household — we’d save enough water to fill seven million swimming pools each year.

So if it looks clean, and it smells clean, call it clean and wear it again. Consider hanging worn clothes out on your clothesline to freshen them up between wearings.
