Go Green for Mother’s Day

Looking for something green to give your mom this year?Last year, I recommended organic flowers from Organic Bouquet, and added a few more ideas.

On Monday, I mentioned putting together a gardening kit for your mom.

If she likes to cook, maybe a Moosewood cookbook will inspire her to eat meat-free once a week or more!

Or how about an ecoKashmere Kimono?

You could also do something as simple as a coupon book for lunch out at a local organic restaurant, or help cleaning her house with green cleaners.  Get creative and be green!

  1. I bet my momma would love some organic flowers. Or perhaps ecoKashmere yoga pants. Thanks!

  2. And this year they are giving 5 to 10 percent of every mother’s day purchase to the Humane Society!

  5. Organic Bouquet also has arrangements that dedicate a percentage to specific charities. It’s like double-dipping in the karma well!

  6. It is! And they really aren’t any more expensive than most flower delivery places. Pretty cool.

  7. i get really frustrated because as a petite woman, shopping organically doesn’t seem to fit! either they have to have a Kids/Youth section for me to shop in or the women’s clothing is usually too big. bummer.

my mom is going to love her little gardening kit!

A simple way to keep your house warm is to seal the bottoms of doorways with a draft stopper. You can usually purchase them inexpensively, but making one is a fun, easy DIY project.
