Trying Zhena’s Gypsy Tea

Tea

I’m an avid tea drinker. I often think I was born on the wrong continent because I don’t like coffee at all, but give me a good cup of tea, or a big glass of iced tea, especially the green variety, and I’m in heaven! So when I got a chance to test out Zhena’s Gypsy Tea I jumped at the chance.

Zhena has a diverse offering of teas that are packed in recyclable materials and their tea sachet is even biodegradable! The sachet is made from biodegradable corn silk that is GMO free. My particular favorites were the Dragon Well Green Tea and the Caramelized Pear which is also a green variety. The teas had a fabulous flavor and their aroma was nice as well. My best friend and my mom were visiting from Tennessee this past week and they sampled some of the teas over the course of the week and both of them liked them too!

In addition to their line of biodegradable tea bags in various flavors they also have loose tea, which I’m always a big fan of personally. Also all of their teas are fair trade certified which is certainly a plus as well. If you’re a fan of tea as I am I think you’ll really like Zhena’s Gypsy Tea and their various varieties. There is something for everyone!

So tea drinkers out there how do you like your tea? With milk? Sugar? Straight up? Hot? Cold? A mixture of any of those given the tea and situation? As always I’m curious.

  1. I became a tea drinker just a few years ago. I’m still not crazy about iced tea, but I like a few kinds of hot tea, usually with a fruity flavor. I also like to add honey.

  2. People often think it’s strange that I grew up in the south but don’t like sweet tea. I take mine straight up. I know many that add honey though.

  3. I’m a teetotaler myself. I’m always looking for new teas to try. Thanks for putting this one on my radar.

What is the availability? Grocery store? Coops?

  4. HH: I know you can purchase the tea on their website – http://www.gypsytea.com

They use eco-friendly packaging and even purchase carbon offsets so you can feel alright about ordering them from the web instead of going to your local store.

Perfect timing on this one… it’s starting to get cooler outside and that’s when I want options for hot drinks.

  5. I love Zhena’s tea! She makes such a good product and makes sure to be as earth-friendly about it as possible, which I also love. I met her a year or so ago at a coffee show in atl. Sweet lady. I have actually seen her stuff in a store in Augusta, which made me really happy for her. Mmmmm that tea is so good – think I will have some now :)

Bunnies Don’t Like Spicy Food

I promise to do a real garden update next week.  Well, I don’t promise, but I’ll try to.  In the meantime, I will give you a quick idea of what’s going on.  Bunnies.  Eating.  Everything.

“But, Allie,” you say, “don’t you have a big, hulking, wolf-like dog?  Doesn’t he scare off the bunnies?”
