Simple Combover Bag

Posted on April 23, 2009 by Allie

The hubs got me the Combover Bag from Simple for my birthday a few months ago and I am deeply in love with it.  It’s too big to use as a purse, but the perfect size for my laptop, assorted cables, a couple of books, a water bottle, a sweater, and my cell phone.

I’ve had a little cabin fever lately while working on my edits, so I pack everything up in my Combover, and hit the library or a coffee shop for a change of scene.  Sure, mobility is a benefit of any laptop bag, but I also love that this bag is super sturdy, and from a company so committed to treading lightly.  The inside is lined with lush corduroy, and there are plenty of interior pockets, as well as exterior water bottle and cell phone pockets.  There’s even a grommet at the front to allow earphone access to an iPod or other device.  The bag is beautifully constructed, and very solid.

It’s made from 100% organic cotton with metal zippers on PET bases.  I plan to keep it forever and ever, and I have every faith it will last.

  3. That is an awesome bag, but I’m so in love with my Crumpler bag I’ve had for years it’s hard to see me changing.

  4. Not that I’m an expert on these things, but it looks like it could be a good eco-friendly diaper bag too.

  5. I’m not an expert on those things either, but I think you’re right. It would make a great diaper bag, and it’s totally gender neutral, so dads would be okay carrying it.
