On the same day that I used up the very last bit of my beloved Badger Lip Balm Stick, a friend gave me a tube of Vanilla Organic Hemp Balm from The Merry Hempsters.  Such luck!

I’d never heard of The Merry Hempsters before, but they’re a pretty cool company:

The Merry Hempsters are dedicated to promoting the extraordinary benefits of Cannabis Sativa seed oil (hemp seed oil) through the production of uniquely effective and environmentally friendly products. We use only the finest quality natural ingredients in combination with cutting edge eco-friendly packaging. Effective natural body care products in concert with the environmental sustainability of our ingredients and packaging are core concepts in our mission.”

I’m loving this lip balm.  My lips tend to crack in the winter, but this stuff is doing the trick.  It’s smooth, thick and long lasting, without being sticky or greasy.  It has a warm vanilla scent that isn’t overpowering, and it’s all organic and certified by Oregon Tilth.  And no, it won’t get you stoned.

  3. Love love love Merry Hempsters! They used to make a lip balm in a little metal tin. It was my favourite but I don’t think they make it anymore.

  4. *AWESOME* company, great folks. their the sister company to one of those high-end organic product companies, botanical somethingoranother.

their lotion is by far the best i’ve ever used — seriously, leaves the skin incredibly soft; find it, try it, accept no others! (altho i think there’s one or two questionable ingredients near the end of the list, to be fair.)

& their lip balm is out of this world – doesn’t taste funny or have a weird consistency like most. so glad you’ve found them!
