Last Minute Gift

I needed to get a gift for a certain special lady in our lives (Grandma, stop reading this).  I had to run an errand on the Target side of town.  Inspired by Mickey’s recent shopping trip, I decided I’d search the aisles for something fun and eco-friendly.  Here’s what I found:

  • Chameleon-Collection Makeup Bag – Made from post-consumer recycled plastic.  I love the spring colors and the pretty tree silhouette.
  • Bamboo Garden Bath Mitt – Super soft and better than a wash cloth because bamboo is naturally antibacterial, hypoallergenic, absorbent and fast drying.  No more smelly wash cloths in the shower.
  • Dr. Bronners Lavender Pure Castile Soap - One of my favorite products.  Good for washing almost everything.  And a 2fl oz bottle will last a long time.
  • Trial/Travel Size Weleda Skin Food & Almond Moisture Cream – I haven’t tried any Weleda products yet, but their products are “free of synthetic preservatives, fragrances, colorants and raw materials derived from mineral oils,” and not tested on animals.
  • Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer — A little bit of color, and a lot of moisture and shine.  The label says it’s 100% natural.

  5. Pretty sure. I mean, the fact that I only go there three or four times a year and don’t ever get a paycheck from them . . . that probably means I don’t, right?

  9. [...] Weleda – Their products can be found at natural food stores and fancy little boutiques, but also at Target.  A big tube of Skin Food, or a collection of little travel sized lotions and body washes would make an excellent gift.  Target also has a line of travel bags made from recycled soda bottles.
