A/V Fridays – The Goode Family

Mike Judge brings us a comedy about a family with a major case of eco-anxiety.
What do you think? Are we laughing at ourselves or are we being laughed at? And is it really so hard to be good?

A simple way to keep your house warm is to seal the bottoms of doorways with a draft stopper. You can usually purchase them inexpensively, but making one is a fun, easy DIY project.
Yes, we are being laughed at. If it is actually funny, we have an opportunity to laugh at ourselves.
I saw the commercials for this the other night. I kind of want to watch it, but the cartoon style and the awful music tell me I should avoid it.
Sure we can laugh at ourselves. hehe I think I need to watch this.
“You look at ‘em and you go ‘Oh yeah, I know those people. They’re everywhere. They’re hangin’ out at Whole Foods.’”
I am reminded of another quote the is supposedly by Gandhi (though I am not sure that is correct): “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
Also, “They’re everywhere.” That’s gotta be a good sign. As long as most of them are riding the bus and not buying hybrids.
